
Luís Grego is an Portuguese clarinetist in the National Republican Guard Symphonic Band and Chamber Orchestra.
Since 2024 he co-operated with Orquestra das Beiras. He started his musical activity at Music School of Banda de Música de Ponte de Lima and later began his formal studies at Academia de Música Fernandes Fão with professor Gaspar Lima. He is concluding his degree at Minho University, coordinated by professor Dr. Vitor Matos.
Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses with renowned teachers, Antonio Saiote, Carlos Alves, Luís Carvalho, Telmo Costa, Sérgio Pires and Christoffer Sundqvist.
As a soloist, Grego has performed with Banda de Música de Ponte de Lima, National Republican Guard Symphonic Band, Santiago Clarinet Essemble and Minho University Clarinet Essemble. As a chamber musician, Luís Grego has an project with a string quartet playing Fado (tradicional Portuguese music).
In 2025, Luis Grego became an artist of the Sax Clinic’s SCV ligatures. He uses Tonus Mundi ligature.
